Shots are no fun... any way you look at it! Although they were painful for the "punkin" this morning, they will keep her healthy and that is all that really matters. :0)
Monroe cried more today than last time (2 mo. check up) when receiving her shots. I think it is mostly due to the fact that she is becoming more aware of her surroundings and being more alert, in general. It is all over though... for two more months, at least!
Our punkin is in the 95th percentile for both weight and height. She measured 26 1/8 inches long and weighed 16 pounds, 5 ounces. What a BIG girl we have!!
Dr. Robbie Rux is such a wonderful pediatrician and you can tell that he truly loves what he does. Monroe was all smiles while he was in the room! He told me that she was right on track and doing perfectly. He reassured me that she will roll over when she is ready and that big babies (like her) have more mass, which makes it more difficult. I'm not going to worry about the "rolling over" bit any more and just let it happen when it happens. Obviously, Monroe's reflux and spit-up problems have gotten in the way of productive "Tummy Time" sessions, but Dr. Rux said to keep on practicing. He said that it was just fine for her to be propped up on her Boppy pillow during "Tummy Time" (Thanks, Ashley, for the wonderful suggestion!), as well as trying to get in real "Tummy Time" as often as we can.
All in all, our visit went great. We are so glad that her 4 mo. shots are behind us, and now, I am going to spend the day loving on our sweet girl.
Have a wonderful day!
With love,
The Currys
